Early in 2010, in Burlington, four seasoned musicians formed a bond over their love of playing loud rock ‘n’ roll, beer, and fuzz pedals. This was the beginning of Crowe. The music almost wrote itself as the basement jams progressed. Melodic rock songs with a heavy emphasis on the guitar and fuzzy bass lines, a la Dinosaur Jr. or T-Rex or other 70s rock legends.

After spending 2012 amassing performance hours at storied Toronto venues like the Horseshoe Tavern, Lee’s Palace, the Hideout, and the Hard Rock Cafe, they have awoken from their hazy suburban slumber. Crowe played to a sold-out crowd at the end of the year after being featured on-air as “Indie Band of the Month” on 102.1 the Edge.

With the release of Crowe’s critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, 2013 is looking to be another big year. With this independently produced work, Crowe returns to the fundamentals. The album brings back memories of a time when people could play their instruments well. Four men alone in a room with drums, guitars, amps, and microphones. There are no DJs, samples, Pro Tools, auto-tune, or studio tricks used! As a result, an album chock-full of catchy melodies, gritty guitars, a grooving rhythm section, and tons of hooks was created!
